Waiting on Wednesday #3

Waiting on Wednesday #3

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re anticipating.

For my very this Waiting on Wednesday I picked the book :

Title: Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass 4)
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Publisher: Bloomsbury USA Childrens
Publication Date: September/1/2015

Summary (from Goodreads):

Sarah J. Maas's New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series reaches new heights in this sweeping fourth volume.

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she's at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past ...

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die just to see her again. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen's triumphant return.

Celaena’s epic journey has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions across the globe. This fourth volume will hold readers rapt as Celaena’s story builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.

Thoughts: Alright let’s face the facts, Aelin is to many levels of awesome to not have this book as a Wow. The Throne of Glass series has completely taken off, and the majority of us have been swept away with it! I know I would do just about anything to get my hands on Queen of Shadows! I can’t wait to see Aelin kick some serious ass and if I’m being honest I’m really hoping Aelin and Rowan cross the friendship line. I ship them WAY to hard.

Ship it Sunday #4

Ship it Sunday #4
(SIS)

Hello Blogger friends, Welcome to the fourth official Ship it Sunday! For those of you who haven't seen my previous posts, I created Ship it Sunday for the purpose of talking about our Ships. I would imagine that 99% of us know what a ship is. But for those who don’t, here’s the definition: ship  (Yes, I got this from Urbandictionary.com, sue me).

N: Short for romantic relationship, popularized in fanfiction circles.

V: To endorse a romantic relationship.

N: I see a 'ship developing between Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.

V: I ship Ron/Hermione

Point of Ship It Sunday:

We all have ships. I know I use “I ship it” for just about everything including chips with cheese. I thought that we could have Sunday dedicated to our lovely character ships though. Every Sunday we can talk about different ships, little ships, dying ships, ships we wish existed, and ENORMOUS ships. Point is Ships. I want this to be an interactive post, PLEASE comment on your opinions of the ship! I promise I won’t throw stones at you, even if your opinion is different from mine.  Hell, you might not even ship them! That is perfectly okay! I would love to hear what you have to say! Oh, and there will probably be spoilers in the post, so if you have not read the book that is being talked about in their post that Sunday, please don’t continue reading the post! Go read the book!

NOW LET THE SHIPPING BEGIN!

For this Ship it Sunday I chose: Aelin and Rowan from Heir of Fire by The Mind blowing Sarah J. Maas.

We all know that at this point in the series Rowan and Aelin arent a for-sure ship, but that doesn’t change the fact that I’m in LOVE with there relationship and I'm HOPING with all my heart that something happens in Queen of Shadows. *fingers crossed*
Plus, Queen of Shadows comes out decently soon!!! YAY!

Aelin and Rowan are friends right now, but there have been so many tender simple moments that I just crave more between their relationship.

Reasons I Ship them Harder Then Chaol and Aelin:

  •  Rowan and Aelin have far more in common then Aelin and Chaol. Yes, Choal is one hunky dude, but he is definitely no badass faerie.
  •   Rowan and Aelin have that whole “I claim you to whatever end” thing going on, and I just want to sob. It’s not even supposed to be a romantic claim but I can’t help but feel like it will lead to one! J
  • Guys, when Rowan sees her scars and then leaves because he couldn’t stand the thought of that happening to her completely broke me. I just wanted to grab him and throw him at Aelin
  • Rowan and Aelin have a real friendship, and I’m a fan of characters creating a solid relationship before they become a couple

Before I finish this post, I just want everyone to be aware of the fact that I DO like Chaol, it's just that at this moment he isn't cutting it anymore.

Thanks for stopping by! Don't forget to comment!
Who do you ship?

Stay Drunk...on Books,

Steph!
