This weeks question is: If you could get an ARC of any book, already published, or not yet, what would it be?

Well, I want to say that answering this question should be hard, mainly because there are so many options, however the first book that popped into my head when I read this weeks question was none other than.....

Queen of Shadows by the lovely Sarah J. Maas

Gah, I am way too invested in Celaenas (Aelin) future.

I want this book more then I want any other book on the planet right now, which kinda freaks me out. This book has so much control over me, if Sarah asked me to hand over my sister to be her maid, I would, and my sister would be okay with it because 1) Hello, working for mrs. Maas would be cool (even if you are a maid)..2) We would get to read QoS early.

Thanks for stopping by!

Waiting on Wednesday #4

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re anticipating.

For this Waiting on Wednesday I picked the book :

Title: The Dead House
Author: Dawn Kurtagich
Publisher: Little, Brown Books for Young Readers
Publication Date: September/15/2015

Summary (from Goodreads):

Debut author Dawn Kurtagich is dead on in this terrifying psychological thriller!

Over two decades have passed since the fire at Elmbridge High, an inferno that took the lives of three teenagers. Not much was known about the events leading up to the tragedy - only that one student, Carly Johnson, vanished without a trace...

...until a diary is found hidden in the ruins.

But the diary, badly scorched, does not belong to Carly Johnson. It belongs to Kaitlyn Johnson, a girl who shouldn't exist Who was Kaitlyn? Why did she come out only at night? What is her connection to Carly?

The case has been reopened. Police records are being reexamined: psychiatric reports, video footage, text messages, e-mails. And the diary.

The diary that paints a much more sinister version of events than was ever made publicly known.

Thoughts: Normally I'm not crazy about horror, or anything remotely frightening, but for some strange reason this book calls to me. I've grown to LOVE thrillers, and this book looks like it's going to be KILLER! :)

What are you waiting on?

Stay Drunk...on Books,
Steph

SIS #5

Ship it Sunday #5
(SIS)

Hello Blogger friends, Welcome to the fifth official Ship it Sunday! For those of you who haven't seen my previous posts, I created Ship it Sunday for the purpose of talking about our Ships. I would imagine that 99% of us know what a ship is. But for those who don’t, here’s the definition: ship  (Yes, I got this from Urbandictionary.com, sue me).

N: Short for romantic relationship, popularized in fanfiction circles.

V: To endorse a romantic relationship.

N: I see a 'ship developing between Hermione Granger and Ron Weasley.

V: I ship Ron/Hermione

Point of Ship It Sunday:

We all have ships. I know I use “I ship it” for just about everything including chips with cheese. I thought that we could have Sunday dedicated to our lovely character ships though. Every Sunday we can talk about different ships, little ships, dying ships, ships we wish existed, and ENORMOUS ships. Point is Ships. I want this to be an interactive post, PLEASE comment on your opinions of the ship! I promise I won’t throw stones at you, even if your opinion is different from mine.  Hell, you might not even ship them! That is perfectly okay! I would love to hear what you have to say! Oh, and there will probably be spoilers in the post, so if you have not read the book that is being talked about in their post that Sunday, please don’t continue reading the post! Go read the book!

NOW LET THE SHIPPING BEGIN!

For This Ship it Sunday I picked: Ash and Meghan from The Iron Fey Series By Julie Kagawa

This series has always been one of my favorites (Hence the Giveaway).

Reasons I ship Ash and Meghan

  • They had forbidden romance before they even got together...and God knows I'm a sucker for forbidden romance! (I LOVE when characters can't be together but want to)
  • They fell for each other in a Non-Insta love way and it wasn't just thrown at you all at once. There relationship was extremely well built and I thank Julie Kagawa for her non-instal love book everyday.
  • Meghan changed Ash in the best way possibly, and made him see which wars were worth fighting for.
  • WHEN MEGHAN RELEASED ASH FROM HIS OATH AS HER KNIGHT I WAS PRETTY SURE I WAS GOING TO BREAK THE WORLD RECORD FOR MOST TEARS SHEAD EVER. (This scene broke me, and completely sealed my love for this couple all at the same time).

Thanks for stopping by!

Who do you Ship?

Steph

This weeks question is: What's your favorite movie?

That is easily the second hardest question after what's your favorite book?...I HAVE SO MANY.
However, if I had to pick one that I know I will continue to love and cherish my whole life I would have to say Peter Pan (2003). I had the biggest crush on Jeremy Sumpter when I was younger and I continue to have the biggest crush on him today! :)

Sighh...

He also knew what was up...

Plus, I just LOVE Peter Pan! Never growing up sounds very appealing.

Waiting on Wednesday #3

Waiting on Wednesday #3

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted by Breaking the Spine that spotlights upcoming releases that we’re anticipating.

For my very this Waiting on Wednesday I picked the book :

Title: Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass 4)
Author: Sarah J. Maas
Publisher: Bloomsbury USA Childrens
Publication Date: September/1/2015

Summary (from Goodreads):

Sarah J. Maas's New York Times bestselling Throne of Glass series reaches new heights in this sweeping fourth volume.

Everyone Celaena Sardothien loves has been taken from her. But she's at last returned to the empire—for vengeance, to rescue her once-glorious kingdom, and to confront the shadows of her past ...

She will fight for her cousin, a warrior prepared to die just to see her again. She will fight for her friend, a young man trapped in an unspeakable prison. And she will fight for her people, enslaved to a brutal king and awaiting their lost queen's triumphant return.

Celaena’s epic journey has captured the hearts and imaginations of millions across the globe. This fourth volume will hold readers rapt as Celaena’s story builds to a passionate, agonizing crescendo that might just shatter her world.

Thoughts: Alright let’s face the facts, Aelin is to many levels of awesome to not have this book as a Wow. The Throne of Glass series has completely taken off, and the majority of us have been swept away with it! I know I would do just about anything to get my hands on Queen of Shadows! I can’t wait to see Aelin kick some serious ass and if I’m being honest I’m really hoping Aelin and Rowan cross the friendship line. I ship them WAY to hard.
